The Government of Serbia has adopted an amendment to the Decree on Measures to Prevent and Suppress the Infectious Disease Covid 19, according to which those infected with coronavirus who are treated at home are under obligation to stay in isolation for seven days. Their quarantine ends with an examination in a Covid clinic, without further testing.

The amendment to the decree, which was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force, specifies that this provision applies to persons who have been tested for the presence of the virus but who have not been diagnosed with any symptoms or signs of the disease, and those whose illness does not require hospital treatment.

According to the new rules, if a person has primary or secondary immunodeficiency, they will self-isolate at home for 14 days, while the state of immunodeficiency is determined by the primary healthcare doctor.

The decree also stipulates that employees in health and social welfare institutions get PCR tested after home isolation lasting seven days and return to work if the PCR test sampled on the seventh day of home isolation is negative.

In case of a positive PCR test result, they remain in isolation until the tenth day when isolation is terminated without testing, the decree states.

Yesterday, the Government of Serbia adopted the Conclusion on the cost of RT-PCR and antigenic testing for the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that is done at personal request in public healthcare institutions.

The price of the PCR test was reduced from 9,000 to 6,000 dinars, while the price of the antigen test went from 3,500 to 1,800 dinars.

It was also decided to reduce the time between the second and third dose of the vaccine to three months.
