Although for many, Sabac would not be the first destination when they think of the tourist offer of Serbia, this city on the Sava River has a lot to offer - from a rich history to interesting tourist facilities.

The first piano in Serbia sounded in Sabac - the instrument was owned by Anka Obrenovic.

The first carriage in Serbia passed through the streets of Sabac, only to later become a "trademark" of mostly spa resorts.

According to some sources, Sabac was the first city in Serbia where women were allowed to go to taverns.

Also, the First National Pharmacy in Serbia was opened in the center of Sabac.

Due to its diverse architecture, Sabac earned the moniker of "the Little Paris" a long time ago. A mixture of architectural styles in the city on the Sava is still present today. Luxuriously decorated facades and prominent passages preserve the spirit of old times and delight visitors.

One of the symbols of the city is the church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, the endowment of the prince of the Sabac region, Jevrem Obrenovic. It is believed that the best craftsmen from Ohrid participated in designing and building this shrine.

The Civijada festival, the Cer March, the Sabac Summer Festival, the Easter Rock Marathon are just some of the events that are held in this city. Finally, we must not forget the famous Sabac Fair, which has been organized for more than a century...
