Vulin and Ruzic discuss bomb threats to schools: War is waged against Serbia in which children are not spared

Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandar Vulin and First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Branko Ruzic spoke on Tuesday about yesterday's events, when tip-offs arrived claiming that explosive devices had allegedly been placed in a large number of schools in Belgrade.

Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandar Vulin stressed that a special war is being waged against Serbia, in which even children are not spared, and that our state is approaching solving the problem of fake bomb threat reports in a serious manner.

"A special war is being waged against Serbia, and neither educational institutions nor children are spared in that war. Our state is serious about solving the problem of false bomb reports. The Ministry of the Interior takes care of the safety of all citizens, especially children, and we will do everything to make sure that classes go smoothly, that final exams and the matriculation exam are carried out on time and that the school year ends on time," said Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin.

"Members of the police are extremely dedicated and professional, react quickly and timely to every bomb report and will do everything to establish a normal system of work in schools as soon as possible," said Minister Vulin, thanking all parents, children and teachers for their understanding.

Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Branko Ruzic thanked Aleksandar Vulin and members of the police for the quick and timely reaction during yesterday's events.

"I am grateful for the quick and timely reaction of the members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as for the excellent cooperation and coordination with schools. It was established that bomb reports were fake in all schools that have been checked. In schools where counter-sabotage review is underway, classes will be taking place online. The priority is the safety of our children and employees, and we will not jeopardize that. On this occasion, I would like to ask the Ministry of the Interior to give priority to primary schools in the procedure and during the checks, primarily because of the students in the first cycle," said Branko Ruzic.

On the topic of providing tests for the matriculation exam, Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin said that the police would provide the materials and keep the content of the materials and the tests secret.

Also, Vulin stressed that during the upcoming graduation parties, members of the police will strengthen control of traffic and young drivers, and appealed on all young people to behave responsibly in traffic.
