About one million euros "soaked" in cocaine found in Vracar during house search, Dusan arrested

The Special Department for Suppression of Corruption of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade has filed an indictment against Dusan DJ. (63) on suspicion that he committed the crime of money laundering, because he kept a large amount of cash, nearly one million euros, knowing that the money came from criminal activity.

958,115 euros in cash were found on August 23, 2019, in a house in Vracar, Belgrade, in which Dusan DJ. lived with his family. The search was carried out by police officers from the Department for the Fight against Drugs on the order of the court, who were looking for narcotics. The money in the amount of 585,835 euros was found in a bag in a closet in the living room, as well as a backpack with 159,980 euros, while traces of cocaine were discovered on most of the bills. The rest, 212,300 euros, was found in a paper bag in a safe.

The cash was in smaller bills, while the suspect did not provide any proof, nor does it exist, of its legal origin, and the said amount far exceeds the legal income of Dusan DJ. and members of his family. With the indictment submitted to the Higher Court in Belgrade for confirmation, in addition to the proposal to find the accused guilty and convict him according to the law, the Special Department for Suppression of Corruption of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade also asked the court to impose the security measure of the seizure of the cash.
