The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, again yesterday called on the international community to put pressure on Pristina to form the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO).

He said that unless everything that was signed in the Brussels agreement has been implementee, it may be too late and we may be headed into an "abyss with unforeseeable consequences."

Petkovic told a press conference in the Government of Serbia that 3,364 days have passed since the ZSO - as agreed upon in Brussels - has not been formed and added that the ZSO is what should represent the institutional mechanism for the protection of the collective rights of the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija, given that these rights do not exist today.

He said that every day we can see that with unilateral moves of Pristina and Albin Kurti, human rights of the Serb people in the Kosovo and Metohija are being further degraded and trampled on - the right to vote, the right to freedom of movement...

"Please remember well this urging of mine of the international community because we are primarily addressing them, representatives of the international community, ie, the most powerful countries of the West, because they are the ones who can form the ZSO, because only their pressure can move us a step forward so that someone finally forces Pristina to fulfill its obligations," stressed Petkovic.

He added that with the latest unilateral moves to abolish Serbian ID cards and re-register Serbian license plates, Albin Kurti wants to lead the Serb people in the north of Kosovo into a war.
