The fundamental contract between the Government of Montenegro and the Serbian Orthodox Church was signed in Podgorica, Tanjug has learned from the Church.

The approaches to the Gorica villa were blocked, and SUVs entered the villa from a side street, reported CdM. A police van closed the approach to the villa.

It was announced earlier that the contract will be signed by Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic and the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church Porfirije.

CdM previously published claims by some media that the signing will take place on August 3, and Abazovic said afterwards that he did not know when that would happen.

Minister of Justice Marko Kovac announced last night that the text of the contract with the SPC will not be changed, and that it will be signed in the first half of August.
