The famous Serbian composer Kornelije Kovac died today at the age of 81 in Belgrade, Kurir writes.

Kornelije Kovac was a Serbian composer, pianist, arranger.

He was born in Nis in 1942, and created his first composition, "Pusti Trotoari," at the age of 14 - in 1956.

In 1968, Kovac began a successful career as a film music composer, which continues until his death. The impressive figure of 55 achievements in that field only confirms the fact that he was also very successful in creating music for film.

The most famous of these have been "Bube u Glavi," "Kvar," "Una," "Halo Taxi," "Ziveti Kao Sav Normalan Svet", "Vreme Leoparda," "Ljubi, Ljubi al Glavu ne Gubi" etc.

Two prestigious awards at the Pula Festival confirm the high quality of Kovac's film music. Golden Pula Arena in 1972 and 1982 for the films "BEZ" and "Zivot, Smrti i Snovi Filipa Filipovica."

In the field of instrumental music, he released four albums and wrote music for theater and TV. He is one of the few authors of popular music who composed to the poetry of our great poets - Branko Radicevic, Jova Jovanovic Zmaj, Branko Copic, Milan Rakic, Jovan Ducic and others.

The focus of his musical creativity in recent years has been on theater and film music.
