The best Serbian tennis player, Novak Djokovic, reacted on social networks after a newly discovered insect in Serbia was officially named after him!

This is a unique cave predator called "Duvalius djokovici" - and a photo of the critter was shared by Novak himself, along with a smiley.

The insect was found in Sima's Pit (Simina Jama) on the Povlen Mountain in Western Serbia, and is said to "share" some common traits with Novak - speed, strength, perseverance, ability to survive in harsh environments, explained the scientists behind the discovery, who also "admitted" to being Novak's big fans.

They pointed out that this insect is a predator in the subterranean environment - while Novak is that, figuratively, only on the tennis court. And clearly, both come from Serbia.

This new insect species is not the first kind of animal to be named after Novak Djokovic. Recently, a new freshwater snail from Montenegro was described in the scientific journal Subterranean Biology, and named "Travuniana djokovici."
