In recent years, the former leader of Cuba appears in training suits in public appearances. For many, this caught the eye and they wondered why the leader of Cuban revolution, the sworn opponent of capitalism wears clothes of his "enemy".

Since it is known for Castro, he was always in a military uniform, but since a few years ago he changed the dressing style. The reason is - of practical nature.

In fact, Castro began to dress more casually after recovering from the surgery he had in 2006. Since then, the former Cuban leader was seen in sporty outfits. His collection of sweatsuits includes not only the brand Adidas, already in his closet can be found and other brands such as Puma, Nike and Fila.

It is interesting that the US company Nike was prohibited from doing business in Cuba because of the trade embargo, which was introduced decades ago, the United States, which runs from 1960.

- This is not a positive nor negative. We make clothing for athletes, not leaders - said Travis Gonzales, head of Adidas in 2006, "New York Times".

To most a thought occurred that perhaps Fidel Castro has signed a contract with Adidas, as he usually can be seen in their tracksuits.

- We don't have a deal with Castro. The company supplied the Cuban Olympic team for many years - said Katja Schreiber, spokesman for the German company Adidas.

So, the most famous enemy of capitalism has decided to reject a camouflage uniform, his trademark, and because of convenience becomes unpaid foreign companies mannequin wearing their tracksuits.

What is interesting is that Adidas was founded in 1948 by Adolf Dassler, after a fight with hir brother and left the company "Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik", jointly held. His brother Rudolf has later established Puma, Adidas' biggest rival.

Dassler brothers were followers of Hitler and the members of his party, but Rudolf was in World War II and participated. Company name is derived from the first three letters of the nickname of the founder - Adi (Adolf) and the first three letters of the surname Dassler.
