MACEDONIA BANNED BROADCASTING OF SERBIAN MUSIC: New rule starts on Saturday!

Association for protection of copyright and Related Rights (ZAMP), at the request of the organization of musical authors of Serbia SOKOJ, will prohibit the public display of music from the repertoire of SOKOJ on all radio and television stations in the Republic of Macedonia.

The ban on playing music from Serbia starts on Saturday 1 October and since then the music Serbian authors will not be allowed to be broadcast, reports infomax.mk.

- As stated in the notice of SOKOJ music, the reasons for the decision to ban the use of their repertoires derived from the fact that the Ministry of Culture proposed Rules on tariffs for the use of music copyright works, and according to it's use, which has already been reduced to 50 per cent now increased to 100 percent of the ban - said ZAMP.

ZAMP reminds that on 20th September, a ban came into force about playing music that is protected by copyrights in that organization.
