Babic family, pride of Serbia and Republika Srpska: Six kids and all musicians, upright, humble and hardworking (VIDEO)

Djordje, Nikolina, Isidora, Marko, Katarina and Kristina are ordinary teenagers and when you get to know them a bit better you realize that everybody are gifted musicians and they shine the surroundings with their positive energy.

Love connected father from Trebinje and mother from Ilijas in Banjaluka. Their children are raised in patriarchal family and in the spirit of orthodoxy, they grew into religious young people who can be an example. Under the wake eye of mother Radmila and father Dragan, they practice every day, and they are not crowded in 48 square meters of apartment. 

- We met through art, painting. Thins home breathes art... And we wanted these children... But i married late! - said father Dragan through laughter.

RTRS finds out that late Banjaluka musician, mister Marko Popovic, awakened the love towards music in Babic family. He helped children to accomplish their musical wishes. Music is just a part of art that is nurtured in their home because mother Radmila is academic painter, and dad Dragan sometimes gets into painting. However, they get basic needs for lives as lecturers in high school.

Mother Radmila said that she always wanted to have big family and five children.

- I always wanted to have five children, but, there, i have six. They all have talent but they are not paining, they don't have time. We are spending energy in the right sense of that word. We don't tire ourselves with stupid things. We always follow each other, we follow kids, and where the road takes us. I sometimes forget where i am going... They are calling here, those are calling there... We are looking forward to new day. They say who sings doesn't have evil thoughts, and who thinks a lot he is not into singing - Radmila made a joke.

There is no room for fatigue in Babic home even though they came from Belgrade the night before  from the international competition where their younger son Marko, with his accordion chamber music won gold medal.

The oldest son Djordje, plays contrabass and he is on third year of Music Academy, and Nikolina, Nina is a freshmen. She plays in Cultural Artistic Society Cajevac, City tamburitza orchestra, Banja Luka Rock symphony and in Banja Luka Philharmonic. Marko and Katarina did not want to talk in front of cameras. They said they express themselves better with instruments. Golden medals prove that.

Many parents are asking for recipe how to raise their children and now are wondering how are Babic children so upright, modest and hardworking . Maybe it will be clearer when you hear what their parents have to say to everybody who have or plan family.

- Turn to family and children - the best thing ever. Don't spend your time poorly. Love, compassion in family. Husband and wife must share all the burdens together. Every day should be respected and appreciated. Fill it with work, desire, smile. There has to be work. And where there is no work, there is anarchy. And that is not good! - said Dragan.
