R.P. reported to the police that she suspected her husband had buried his mother in the garage of their Belgrade home.

She came to the police station on her own and stated that she saw her husband, who lives with his mother in the same yard but in a different house, dig a hole.

"R.P. reported that she suspects her husband, Slobodan P., who lived in the house with his mother (87), had dug a hole in the garage of the house, and that she suspected he had buried his mother, whom she had not seen for a while, in it," a source has revealed for the daily Kurir.

He added that the police immediately went to the house in Belgrade and found a hole in the garage.

"Slobodan claims his mother died of natural causes 12 days ago, and that he buried her," the source added.

The investigation is ongoing, and only after an autopsy has been perform will it be known whether the woman died naturally or if it was a violent death.

According to unofficial information, the woman died of natural causes and her son buried the body in a garage in Domentijeva Street. It is suspected that Slobodan did this because of the high pension she was receiving.

According to her son Slobodan, Stevana P. passed away on October 11, and he buried her on October 20.

Last year there was a similar case in Cukarica, when it turned out that a son had buried his mother inside the house in order to obtain her pension.
