A member of the Serbian Army, A.R., passed away last night at the Military Medical Academy (VMA) from severe injuries sustained in a suicide attempt he carried out with a privately owned pistol, in a private car, in the parking lot of the Vasa Carapic Barracks in Banjica, the Defense Ministry said.

He was not on duty at the time of the suicide attempt, last night around 7:30 pm.
A.R., a member of the Serbian Army, shot himself in the head on Thursday night in Belgrade's Banjica neighborhood.
"Immediately after the suicide attempt, he was transported to the Military Medical Academy where the doctors fought to save his life," the Ministry of Defense told Telegraf.rs last night.
When the team arrived, the man was unconscious.
