Incredible scenes of rescue: Workers saw woman floating in Morava and immediately jumped in to help

The woman was in a semi-conscious state

At the dam in Parmenac near Cacak, workers who are working on the riverbed of the Zapadna Morava River this morning pulled out a woman from the water, who is presumed to have jumped from a nearby bridge.

"We were on a work assignment when we saw something floating. At first I thought it was a sack, but then I saw the lower part move. That's when we realized that it was a person," Slobodan Vujic told RINA.

He and several other colleagues started following the floating body along the river bank, and then jumped into the water and pulled the woman out.

"This was a female person, when we pulled her out she was in a semi-conscious state. She was transferred to the hospital in Cacak by ambulance," said Slobodan.
