Blast furnace No. 2 continues to operate

HBIS Serbia is preparing for the shutdown of blast furnace No. 1 in Zelezara Smederevo, and the factory told Tanjug that this is expected to happen at the end of the month.

"The reason for this is the global situation on the market, which has led to a reduced demand for steel," HBIS Serbia said.
Blast furnace No. 2 continues to operate.
"We have adapted our operations to the current situation, and when market conditions are created for that, furnace No. 1 will be restarted," said HBIS Serbia.
