The best tennis player in the world, Novak Djokovic, started his 377th week at the top of the ATP rankings, equaling the record of the German Steffi Graf, who, until now, was the only one who managed to stay at the top of the list for that long.

Thus, Novak is one week short of becoming the absolute record holder in this segment as well. Currently, the Serb has 7,070 points, followed by Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Casper Ruud, Rublev, Nadal, Fritz, Auger-Aliassime, Rune and Hurkacz.

When it comes to the record, Novak and Steffi Graf have been at the top of their respective lists for 377 weeks, Martina Navratilova is third with 322 weeks, and Serena Williams was the number one tennis player in the world for 319 weeks.

The fifth place is occupied by Roger Federer - 310. The sixth is Pete Sampras with 286, followed by Ivan Lendl with 270 and Jimmy Connors with 268. Chris Evert spent 260 weeks at the top.

Switzerland's Martina Hingis and Spain's Rafael Nadal each spent 209 weeks as the best in the world.
