Montenegrin citizen M.J. (36) was arrested yesterday in New Belgrade, and as much as 60 kilograms, most likely of marijuana, were found in his car, Telegarf.rs has learned.

According to information available to us, the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade ordered him to be detained, and he will present his defense statement tomorrow.

"A large scale police operation took place yesterday at the roundabout in Dr. Ivan Ribar Street. He didn't resist the arrest, but didn't want to say where he drove the drugs to, or where he got them," says our source close to the investigation.

Unofficially, the Montenegrin citizen was on the "radar" of the police for a while.

Marijuana has been confiscated, and its origin will be determined during the investigation.
