The Government of Serbia has extended the validity of the decision to provide temporary protection in the Republic of Serbia to persons displaced from Ukraine.

The decision was adopted in order to provide quick response to the humanitarian needs of those displaced from Ukraine and their family members who cannot return to that country due to the current situation, the government said.
The members of the Government made this decision, bearing in mind that the previous one expires on March 18, and that because of the current situation in Ukraine, there are reasons why it is necessary to provide temporary protection to displaced persons in the coming period, in order to protect their basic human rights and freedoms.
