S.P. (39) from Sremska Mitrovica was arrested on suspicion of committing a serious crime against public safety.

He is suspected of causing an accident in which a 39-year-old man who was towed by the suspect on a tube with a speedboat suffered severe, life-threatening injuries, as the boat was moving at an inappropriate speed on the Sava River.
The injured man was transported to the Clinical Center in Novi Sad.
By order of the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Sremska Mitrovica, S.P. was detained for up to 48 hours, during which time he will be brought before the prosecutor's office with a criminal complaint.
