Bosnia-Herzegovina defense minister: "I received unofficial information that 20 people died in floods"

Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Zukan Helez told Al Jazeera this morning that, according to unconfirmed information, 20 people have died in the catastrophic floods and landslides in that state.

He added that members of the armed forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the police, and international forces who are undergoing training have been deployed to help, and that there are problems with communications.

"We will seek help from the international community and other countries," he told Al Jazeera.

According to unofficial information obtained by the portal klix.ba, the number of people killed in floods and landslides in Jablanica alone has increased to over 10.
