A 45-year-old woman from the vicinity of Veliko Gradiste was arrested on suspicion of killing her newborn baby, Telegraf has been told.

The infanticide is suspected to have been committed on January 1, and while the crime was discovered on the 6th, Orthodox Christmas Eve - when the suspect had to seek medical help because she was not feeling well.
The doctors then realized that she had given birth a few days before.
According to unofficial information, she wrapped the baby's body up, put it in a plastic bag and took it to the cemetery.
The case is handled by the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Veliko Gradiste.
