Vucic: "Last week I didn't just represent our country - I represented our history"

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic summed up the week behind us, which was marked by his visit to Russia and meetings with numerous leaders, among them the host, Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Sometimes one step, one word, one decision can have much more weight than a mere political gesture. This week I did not just represent our country - I represented our history, dignity and the right of Serbia to lead an independent and consistent policy.

In every place, with every interlocutor, I fought for a Serbia that remembers, respects itself and is not ashamed of its own voice. And I will continue that way, because I believe in Serbia which knows what it is and where it is going," stated the president.
