Vucic congratulates Dan on his victory in Romanian presidential elections

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic today congratulated Nicusor Dan on his victory in the presidential elections in Romania.

"On my own behalf and on behalf of the citizens of Serbia, I send my cordial congratulations to Nicusor Dan on his election as president of Romania. You will always have a good neighbor and a reliable partner in us, as we remain committed to cooperation, strengthening friendship and joint projects for the benefit of our citizens," Vucic posted on X.
Former mayor of Bucharest Nicusor Dan is the new president of Romania, after beating George Simion as an independent candidate in the second round of elections.
According to the Romanian Federal Election Commission, based on 100 percent of the votes counted, Dan won 53 percent, while Simion received 46 percent.
