First photos from Danube: Boat capsized, search ongoing for missing people, some suspected dead
A boat carrying 10 foreign and one Serbian citizen has capsized during the night on the Danube between Backo Novo Selo and Plavna in the municipality of Bac.

According to unofficial information, it is suspected that some of the people on the boat have died while several are still missing.
The police are on the ground, as well as emergency services, border service units, and fire and rescue teams.
As can be seen in the first photos from the scene, the rescue teams are still searching the water in boats, while the river bank is also being checked.
Rescue services from Serbia and Croatia are participating in the operation, including the Specialist Water Rescue Team from the Interior Ministry (MUP) Emergency Situations Sector as well as Croatian civil protection and police units.
According to initial information, the accident occurred during an attempt to illegally cross the state border.
