Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has sent a telegram of condolences upon learning of the death of General Nebojsa Pavkovic. The message reads:

"It was with deep sadness that I received the news of the death of General-Colonel Nebojsa Pavkovic.

I offer my sincere and deepest condolences to his family, friends and comrades, as well as to all who knew and respected him. During his many years of service, he left the mark as an officer who performed his duty with a strong sense of responsibility, dedication and belonging to Serbia, while caring about people he worked with and carrying out the tasks entrusted to him.

Generations of soldiers and officers will remember him for his work, discipline and belief that the uniform is worn with honor, and the word is kept as a vow. He dedicated his life to serving his country and the Army, and his memory will be cherished by those who shared both difficult and proud days with him.

In this hour of sorrow, our thoughts are with his loved ones. May they find solace in memories, respect and love of those who knew him. Glory eternal and gratitude to him, and strength, patience and peace to the family in these painful moments," President Vucic's message said.
