NIS reacts to issuance of new specific license: Here are the details
Petroleum Industry of Serbia, NIS, has issued an official statement saying that the US Treasury Department has issued a new specific license to NIS, which allows the company to continue operating activities until July 31.
"This licence allows for the maintenance of business operations, contracts and other agreements involving NIS or its operating subsidiaries, including refining activities, crude oil imports, the execution of transactions necessary for the security of supply and technical maintenance, as well as financial settlements," the company said.
NIS also thanked all domestic and foreign partners who supported this process.
The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US State Department also issued a new license to Hungary's MOL to continue negotiations with Gazprom Neft regarding changes to the ownership structure, that is valid until July 31.
The previous licenses OFAC granted to NIS and MOL were valid until July 1.
