Vucic in New York: In times of global challenges, it is necessary to have space for dialogue and cooperation

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic spoke in New York to say that in a time of great divisions and increasingly complex global challenges, it is necessary to jointly preserve the space for dialogue, cooperation and peaceful resolution of disputes, with a strong role of the United Nations.

On the eve of the high-level summit "Partners for Multilateralism, International Law, Peace and Prosperity" organized by the president of the European Council, Antonio Costa, President of Kenya William Ruto, and Prime Minister of Canada Mark Carney, Vucic stated that now more than ever, responsibility, mutual respect and willingness to compromise are needed.

"Only through a consistent application of jointly established principles and obligations can we restore trust between countries and ensure lasting peace and prosperity for future generations," Vucic stated in a post on Instagram.

He stressed that Serbia remains consistently committed to respecting international law and the United Nations Charter, because we can build a fairer and safer world only based on those principles.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is today participating in the P4M Summit "Partnership for Multilateralism, International Law, Peace and Prosperity", ahead of the opening of the UN General Assembly debate.

As can be seen in the pictures published by the president on Instagram, before the summit he spoke with Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sanchez, Prime Minister of North Macedonia Hristiana Mickoski, Secretary General of the Council of Europe Alain Berset, and the president of the European Council, Antonio Costa.
