Bankruptcy proceedings officially opened against Alta Banka
The Commercial Court in Belgrade today initiated the bankruptcy process in Alta Banka (Alta Bank). The Deposit Insurance Agency has been appointed as the bankruptcy administrator.

Previously, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) announced that, following supervisory activities and a temporary measure, with the aim of protecting depositors and other creditors and preventing the spread of any negative effects on society and the economy, it revoked the operating licence of Alta Banka a.d. Belgrade.
The National Bank of Serbia announced on Monday that within three business days of the date on which the Commercial Court in Belgrade issues its decision to initiate bankruptcy proceedings against Alta Banka, a notice will be published specifying the terms, locations and deadlines for the payment of insured deposits.
