Today, Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar held a regular meeting with health workers, heads of institutions caring for Covid-19 patients in our country, dring which the current situation in health institutions and further steps in preparing them for a return to regular work have been analyzed.

On that occasion, it was concluded that the next health institution to return to the regular regime of work process will be Clinical-Hospital Center Zvezdara, whose remaining patients will be transferred to the Clinical-Hospital Center Zemun and other hospitals by Friday.

It was also agreed at the meeting that the temporary hospital Sajam (Fair) in Novi Sad would be closed, and that the remaining 11 patients would be transferred to the Clinical Center of Vojvodina.

The Institute for Orthopedics Banjica performed disinfection, tested all employed health workers and carried out complete sterilization, and today it has returned to the normal work process. The general hospital in Pancevo will do the same starting on Thursday.

The minister of health especially stressed that in this period, it is extremely important that all health care institutions fully comply with procedures regarding care for emergency patients.

"Each health institution is under obligation to accept emergency patients, regardless of whether they are suspected of having coronavirus. According to the planned procedure, there is an isolation room in every institution for Covid-suspicious emergencies and they must all be cared for," Minister Loncar pointed out.

There are currently 89 patients there, of which 45 arrived from Smederevo.

"The temporary hospital at the Fair in Belgrade cannot be closed yet, it will continue to work. We will reorganize, since some health workers who worked at the Fair will have to return to their healthcare centers and institutes," the minister said.
