Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic said today that the decision of Montenegro to open its border with Serbia was made due to the demands of the tourist industry in that country, which is looking for ways to compensate for the losses.

"This move is motivated by the demands of the tourist economy in Montenegro to compensate as much as possible because this year Montenegro and other countries did not have the number of guests they had expected," Minister Ljajic told TV Prva.

He added that this tourist season for many countries has been far from what it was last year.

Asked how many of our tourists have already gone to Montenegro, Ljajic said that there is no information about that yet.
