It was done at the Labudovo Okno and Djurica bay sites, and on that occasion about two trailers and over one hundred bags were filled with various types of waste (plastic and glass bottles and other material), which likely originate from many countries lying upstream on the Danube.

With activities such as the cleaning up of the bank of the Danube in SRP Deliblatska Pescara, a contribution is made to the preservation of a healthy environment, and habitats of rare and endangered animal and plant species.

Deliblato Sands, along with the Labudovo Okno area, is a unique natural phenomenon in Europe, and preservation and promotion of biodiversity and revitalization of endangered habitats is one of the priority tasks for nature conservation.
