Daniel Craig, the actor who is still officially the "James Bond" character, is coming to Belgrade, Telegraf.rs has learned. The Hollywood star will visit Serbia in order to shoot a sequel to the movie "Knives Out," which originally came out and was a hit in 2019.

Craig should arrive in Serbia in the fall, and he will come here from Greece, where the filming should start on June 28. After that, the team will continue work in the US and Canada.

As we have learned, locations in Belgrade are currently being scouted for "Knives Out 2." Rian Johnson will be the movie's director and screenwriter. Johnson was already in Belgrade once before when he was shooting the movie "The Brothers Bloom" that featured Oscar winner Rachel Weisz, the wife of Daniel Craig.

Craig returns in the role of a somewhat eccentric and perceptive detective Benoit Blanc, and new members of the cast will be Edward Norton and Dave Batista.

The details of the plot are not yet known, and it is not known which roles Norton and Batista will play. The only thing that is certain is that Craig's Benoit Blanc will deal with a new mysterious case, with a large number of suspects. However, the very fact that Norton accepted a role in this film indicates that Johnson's script is impressive, considering that this Oscar-nominated actor is very picky when it comes to the projects he accepts.

After a fierce bidding war with Apple and Amazon, Netflix managed to buy the rights to two sequels of the dark comedy thriller "Knives Out" for 450 million dollars.

One of the best films of 2019, the Oscar-nominated thriller "Knives Out" earned 311.4 million dollars in theaters, while the budget for the film itself was "only" 40 million. It is therefore not surprising that Netflix, Apple and Amazon fought for the right to make sequels.

The first "Knives Out" movie was about the mysterious death of novelist Harlan Thrombey, whose entire family was suspected of committing a crime. The cast was stellar, because in addition to Craig, the film also starred Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Evans, Anna de Armas, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson and Tony Colette.
