Serbia has lost another new mother, and another newborn child has been left without a mother. Two days ago, 26-year-old D.J.from Belgrade, who had given birth three months earlier, died at the VMC Karaburma from the consequences of coronavirus.

Colonel Dr. Ivo Udovicic, commander of the Covid hospital in Karaburma, confirmed for Telegraf.rs that this young mother has lost the battle with Covid.

As he explained to us, she was admitted to the hospital in very serious condition, her lungs were practically destroyed, which is why they had to intubate her immediately.

"She was on a ventilator for about six days, and unfortunately, she passed away," says Dr. Udovicic.

D.J. was not vaccinated and besides that, she was a very obese person.

"When we asked her relatives why she was not vaccinated, we were told she was advised not to get vaccinated during pregnancy," said Udovicic and spoke to how dangerous Covid is for pregnant women.

"See how many pregnant women have died. They are now the most endangered category. This is a huge number among the number of pregnant women, a large percentage, while the number of complications developed by those who receive the vaccine is measured at one in a million and less."

Not a day has gone by during the past ten days without the news that Covid had taken the life of a new mother or a pregnant woman.

As soon as we learned this morning that S.I., 33, from the vicinity of Arandjelovac died on Sunday in the Clinical Hospital Center (KBC) Dragisa Misovic, we received the news that D.J. lost her life same day, only in another hospital.

So far, none of these women have been has been vaccinated, and Professor Dr. Radmilo Jankovic, Deputy Director of the University Clinical Center in Nis, spoke about this issue for Telegraf.rs. He pointed out at the time that he would like to ask the doctors who managed their pregnancies to sign a statement next time they tell someone not to get vaccinated.

"Many of these pregnant women or their families said that their gynecologists advised them not to get vaccinated. Next time, for every pregnant woman, every obstetrician should write what they think about vaccination, so let them stand behind that signature that someone should not be vaccinated. Someone has to take responsibility. Serbia has hardly encountered such a debacle in its history. A couple of months ago, I was talking about what was about to happen. There is no chance of stopping this without doing something. It will stop when everyone gets infected," Jankovic told our portal.
