Distressing scenes from a Belgrade market after wall collapse: Elderly woman covered in blood

It is not yet known why the wall collapsed

A wall collapsed in the Merkator market today, during which several people got injured, Telegraf.rs has learned at the scene. As can be seen in the video we recorded at Merkator, an ambulance crew carried out an elderly older woman on a stretcher.

She had visible injuries to her face.

As we find out, one person was buried in the debris, and seven were injured and transported to the Emergency Center.

It is not known what caused the accident.

According to reports, first the roof collapsed, and then the ceiling. According to the Ministry of the Interior, three police vehicles were sent to the scene, as well as 16 firefighters.
