President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, is on a one-day visit to Turkey, where he will attend the third session of the High Council for Cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Turkey.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan organized a welcome ceremony for the Serbian president.

Vucic also visited the Anitkabir Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.

"It is a great honor for me to pay tribute on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Serbia and the Serbian people to the immortal father of the Turkish nation and a sincere friend of our country - Kemal Ataturk," the president wrote on Instagram.

Several documents important for further improvement of bilateral cooperation will be signed today, the President's Office for Cooperation with the Media announced.

During his stay in Ankara, President Vucic also today met with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
