Epidemiologist Professor Dr. Branislav Tiodorovic from the Crisis HQ says that he is now more worried about the flu epidemic, which is gaining momentum.

According to him, it all started 15-20 days ago with preschool children, then the virus moved to students, and has already reached adults. And it will last for at least another seven or eight days.

"Three types of flu have been registered - AH1, AH3 and B, and the flu is now becoming a more serious problem. It causes high temperature, pain in muscles, joints, people are really poorly. These people have to go to Covid clinic because of the symptoms and it turns out that they are negative for Covid," Tiodorovic told Kurir.

Those who have been vaccinated against the flu will get over it easily or will not get sick at all, says Tiodorovic, and that depends on the general condition of the organism.

"And those who have not been vaccinated will be ill for a week. They have to rest, lower their fever and take vitamins," says Tiodorovic.

According to the professor, Serbia has the trivalent vaccine produced by Torlak, which covers all three types of flu, and the imported quadrivalent vaccine, which covers all that, plus two types of the B strain.
