Two Prokuplje houses spontaneously caught on fire this summer, and the cause remains a mystery not only to the residents, but also to experts. After a few months, the homeowners decided to replace all the wiring and return to their houses.

Just as sockets, switches, plastic water pipes, boilers, routers and other devices inexplicably ignited and burned in two houses in Beogradska Street in Prokuplje, so all of that stopped, writes RTS.

Vukoje Jevtic and his neighbor Dragoslav Djukic, who were forced to move out, have now returned to their homes.

They replaced all the plumbing and electrical wiring, obtained a certificate, after which the power company reconnected them.

"A month ago I replaced everything, put in everything new. The electricity has been on for a month, but I insured the house just in case, so if it wants, let it burn," says Vukoje.

Dragoslav says that nothing has been happening for a while now, but since no one is in charge, he could not easily reconnect to the grid.

"They asked me for a certificate, I called the Institute in Nis, they gave me a certificate and then they connected me to electricity. We live normally, but fear remains," says Dragoslav.

As Telegraf reported, Dragoslav (58) and his son Bogdan (13) from Prokuplje spent their nights in darkness - electricity and water had been cut off since August 17, when a part of their roof caught fire.

The solution to the problem in their house had not been found by then. The cause has not been discovered yet either.
