First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic met on Thursday with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.

Dacic assessed that relations between the two countries are extremely friendly, and expressed his hope that a high level of contacts will continue, as well as practical cooperation in areas of common interest, especially in the field of economy and investments.
"The interlocutors agreed that a more intense political dialogue in the last few years resulted in an essential improvement of bilateral cooperation, but they also concluded that there is unused potential, especially in the fields of economy, business and agriculture," said a statement.
In the context of the jointly expressed desire for further strengthening of relations and more intensive exchange of visits at the top level, Minister Dacic took the opportunity to invite his Qatari colleague to officially visit Serbia.
Dacic praised the organization of the World Cup and expressed his gratitude for the invitation to visit sent by the minister of foreign affairs and the minister of sports of Qatar.
