Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban expressed his gratitude to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Twitter, after the news that Kosovo policemen arrested in central Serbia would be released pending trial.

Orban wrote that this step of President Vucic is highly appreciated, taken at a time of serious challenges.

"Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has just informed me that in accordance with the request made at our meeting last week, the Serbian authorities will soon release the three previously arrested Kosovo policemen from custody. We highly appreciate the step of President Vucic, which he took in a period of serious challenges, and which decision is a clear proof of the strategic cooperation between our countries, and our mutual commitment to the peace and stability of the Balkans," wrote Orban.

A court in Kraljevo previously confirmed the indictment against the tree, and made a decision to release them.

They are Rifat Zeka, Becir Sefi and Mustafa Semi, and got arrested on June 14 in the territory of central Serbia. They appeared before the court in Kraljevo today.

They were originally remanded in custody for 30 days.
