Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic says that president of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and the government have done everything to preserve Kosovo and Metohija and defend the Serbs in that area.

"Those who are the forerunners of your party did everything they could to make everything Serb disappear from Kosovo and Metohija. And they didn't lift a finger when the pogrom happened in 2004, when representatives of the government at that time watched from their offices as Serb churches and monasteries were getting burned down, Serb villages in Kosovo and Metohija ethnically cleansed, the Serb heritage disappearing," Brnabic said in the Assembly, in response to a question from POKS deputy Dusan Radosavljevic, as reported by Tanjug.

Brnabic stated that representatives of then state authorities did nothing in 2008 when Pristina unilaterally declared illegal independence.

"Those with whom you share parties and movements today, when Pristina declared its independence, issued a press release. You criticize us for something. You, whose colleagues are demanding that the Serbs' right in Kosovo and Metohija, who are represented the Serb List, should be revoked," she said.
