Slovak President Zuzana Caputova has appointed the leader of the Smer-SSD party, Robert Fico, as the prime minister of the country

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic has sent his congratulations to Robert Fico on the occasion of his election as the prime minister of Slovakia.

"I am convinced that your country will continue on the path of comprehensive progress, as well as strengthening the partnership with Serbia," Vucic posted on X.
The leader of the Smer-SSD party, Robert Fico, together with the ministers, took the oath on Wednesday.
Slovak President Zuzana Caputova previously appointed Fico to head the cabinet.
