By order of the Public Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime, in cooperation with the BIA (Security Intelligence Agency) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia (MUP) - the Anti-Drug Service, five persons were arrested today in the territory of Serbia.

Their initials are D.K., V.V., I.P., M.V. and L.S. They are suspected of committing criminal acts of conspiracy to commit criminal acts and unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs.

In the period from April 6, 2023 to March 5, 2024, this organized criminal group trafficked about 70 kilograms of cocaine, transporting the drugs from Spain, the Netherlands, and Belgium to then sell them in Serbia, and countries in the west of Europe.

The organized criminal group, beside those arrested today, also consisted of four other persons: B.B., D.R., DJ.S. and D.A., who are citizens of Serbia, and are in now custody in Serbia, Germany, and France.

Those detained in Serbia will be questioned at the Public Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime in Belgrade, after which a decision will be made whether to initiate investigative proceedings.
