The continuation of the first meeting of the Serbian National Assembly in its new convocation, that was scheduled for today, has been postponed for next Monday, March 18, the Assembly announced over the weekend.

The session, it is added, will be held in the House of the National Assembly.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said earlier that the session scheduled for Monday will be postponed for exactly one week, in order to prepare for electing its vice president, president and all parliamentary committees in accordance with the votes received in the elections.

The president said that this is being done in order for the assembly to be fully constituted next week and to prepare to then elect Serbia's new government.
