The mayor of the Belgrade municipality of Obrenovac, Milorad Grcic, was arrested today as part of an uncompromising state operation in the fight against corruption.

We have learned that the police arrested Grcic on the order of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade on suspicion that, while he was the acting director of JP EPS, he, along with his associates, incurred damages to that public company.
The operation is still ongoing, and besides Grcic, ten other people have been arrested.
