Powerful explosion in central Zvecan, northern Kosovo and Metohija

A strong explosion was heard last night in central Zvecan, in the building where the Postanska Stedionica bank used to be located.

So-called Kosovo police announced that half an hour after midnight, a hand grenade exploded in the premises where the so-called Post of Kosovo has been located since recently.

"Two bombs were thrown, one exploded, and we detonated the other in a controlled manner. There were no injuries, no material damage," they said.

Last year, the provisional institutions in Pristina opened post offices in several locations in the north of the autonomous province of Kosovo and Metohija, in the premises where they had first banned the operation of Postanska Stedionica (Postal Savings Bank) of Serbia.
