A horrific accident happened on Pancevacki Road in Belgrade, when V.V. (69), who worked for a company that extracts sand and gravel from the Danube, was killed, Telegraf.rs has learned.

The deadly accident happened when V.V. went inside the sand extracting machine that had broken down to repair it, but another worker, not knowing that V.V. was inside, started the engine.
V.V. suffered serious injuries and died before the ambulance arrived.
An on-duty prosecutor investigated the scene.
The body of the victim has been sent for an autopsy.
