On September 28, Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS) submitted a new request to the US Treasury Department for the a special license, which postpones the full application of sanctions against the company and enables it to carry out operational activities smoothly, NIS announced today.

NIS has also submitted an amendment to the request for removal from the SDN (Specially Designated Nationals) list, a statement said, adding that it is a long and complex process, and recalling that the initial request was sent on March 14 of this year.
The start of the application of the US sanctions against Petroleum Industry of Serbia has been postponed until October 8-9.
