Serb List secures majority of councilor seats in Novo Brdo municipality as well

The Serb List has won the majority of council seats in the municipality of Novo Brdo, as it received 62.23 percent of the votes, according to the results published by the Central Election Commission in Pristina.

In second place is the Democratic League of Kosovo with 21.89 percent of votes, and in third the Self-Determination with 9.91 percent.

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo received 3.59 percent, and the Democratic Party of Kosovo 2.39 percent of the vote.

It was announced earlier that the Serb List won in the municipalities of northern Kosovska Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, Zvecan, Strpce, Partes, Ranilug and Klokot.

Results have not yet been published for Leposavic and Gracanica.

According to the preliminary results of the local elections held on October 12 in Kosovo and Metohija, the Serb List concincingly won in the first round in nine out of 10 municipalities with a Serb majority.

In Klokot, Serb List candidate Bozidar Dejanovic and Serb People's Unity candidate Srecko Spasic will go to the second round on November 9.

Most municipalities with an Albanian majority did not get a mayor in the first round, including in larger towns - Pristina, Prizren and the southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica.
