President Aleksandar Vucic today announced that he spoke with Dijana Hrka, the mother of Stefan Hrka, who died in the fall of the Novi Sad railway station canopy a year ago.

"I spoke on the phone this morning with Dijana Hrka and Ugljesa Mrdic. I asked them to end their hunger strike, and I invited Mrs. Hrka to the presidency for a meeting," Vucic said and added:

"All the good people in Serbia are worried about their health and I pray and hope that they will make a decision to end their hunger strike."

Member of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Ugljesa Mrdic is on hunger strike for the 11th day in front of the House of the Serbian National Assembly, along with five war veterans.

They support him in the request to arrest former president of the Shareholders' Assembly of the Serbian Railway Infrastructure company Nebojsa Bojovic, and former executive director of that company Milutin Milosevic, for their responsibility in the case.

Dijana Hrka, whose son died in the fall of the canopy at the railway station in Novi Sad, has been on hunger strike since Sunday, November 2, demanding that the responsibility for the death of her son and the other victims be determined.
