Shorty after the noon today, the Serb List started its rally in a packed Sports Hall in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica.

This marks the beginning of the party's campaign ahead of the snap elections that will be held in Kosovo and Metohija on December 28.

The rally opened with the sounding of the national anthem of Serbia.

The hall, which can accommodate more than 3,000 people, has been filled to capacity and decorated with the colors of the Serbian flags and Serb List logos.

There are also balloons in the colors of the Serbian flag on the stage.

The Serb List is the strongest Serb party in Kosovo and Metohija, and will be on the ballot papers under the number 127, with 33 candidates, among whom are distinguished academics, doctors and deans.

The campaign before the elections for the Assembly in Pristina started today and will last until the opening of the polling stations on December 28.

As before the elections held on February 9 and the local elections on October 12, Pristina tried to prevent the Serb List from participating.

The election commission (CEC) first refused to confirm the Serb List for elections, and then refused to certify the list of that party's candidates, after which the Serb List complained to the election panel for appeals and petitions, which accepted the appeals and overturned the decisions made by the CEC.
